On 7 December 2008 in Warsaw (Poland), in the Palace of Culture and Science, tooke place the 3rd Traditional Karate European Cup EVENTUS 2008 dedicated to the memory of Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama.

On 7-8 November in Walaszskie Miedzyrzecze (Czech Republic) Sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski 7 Dan ITKF conducted traditional karate seminar.

The International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF) is in mourning following the passing of their President and Chairman , Hidetaka Nishiyama at the age of 80.
